New cultural plan for Casoria City

The birth of an idea

The Casoria International Contemporary Art Museum is the result of a inique process of collaboration between the Casoria City authorities and the International Contemporary Art Centre from Naples.

The ambitious plan for creating the Casoria Museum began in May 2003, when high-ranking representatives of the Casoria authorities – the Mayor Giosuč De Rosa, the Cultural Counselor Giulio Russo and the Public Works Counselor Pino Esposito - contacted Antonio Manfredi, Artist and Art Director of the “International Contemporary Art Center with a proposal for the latter to take part in the moves to revitalize Casoria City.

After identifying the ideal site for the new Museum, in old industrial zone in Arpino-Casoria (ex Snaidero  factory, 2 Km. by International Naples Airport, near Casoria and Naples Train Station, near Motorway A2, A3, A14 and Tangeziale), the construction is planned to  finish in 2007/2008.
