Llorenç Barbèr |

He was born in 1948 in Valencia. He got degrees in piano and composition and in Art History from Valencia and Madrid University. Composer, performer ( harmonium as well as bells) critic and musicologist. He was a founder member of “Actum”, promoting the most free and progressive contemporary music, and “Taller de Música Mundana” an ensemble dedicated to improvised music. He is also author of many articles such as “Minimalism and Postmodernist: the new Spanish music”. Since 1980 he has been engaged as interpreter of his personal designed and constructed bell collection. With improvisation, bell music, “plurifocal” music, phonetic poetry, concerts fotr town bells (in about 50 countries) and gigantic, unstructured concerts “From sunrise to sunset” |
